Personal Data We Collect

EzR Communications Incorporated collects data to operate effectively and provide you the best experiences with our services. You provide some of this data directly, such as when you create an account associated with any of our Services. We get some of it by recording how you interact with our services, for example, using technologies like cookies and receiving error reports or usage data from software running on your device. We also obtain data from third parties (including other companies).

Location Data in Truece App

Access and Collection: You can control the permissions to allow device location in your device settings. These controls allow you to decide whether EzR Communications Incorporated can access the device location anytime, only while the app is in use, if the app has to ask every time, or never. If permitted, your device location may be accessed while using our services.

In-App Services: When location access is set to "While in use," we may collect location data during the use of our in-app services, such as Notes, Messaging, and Expenses. This location data helps us enhance and personalize your experience within the app.

Background Location (Always): If you provide permission for background location access and enable notifications, it unlocks the use of our Timer's Feature. This feature allows users to designate specific locations for notifications to initiate a timer. The app uses background location data to compare your current location with designated geofenced areas. This location data is used solely for triggering notifications and is not recorded, collected, or shared.

General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR

The European Union (EU) GDPR is a comprehensive data protection regulation that places specific responsibilities on companies like EzR Communications Incorporated, which process the personal data of EU/European Economic Area (EEA) residents. The GDPR applies to organizations in the EU and those which may offer goods and services to people in the EU or that collect and analyze data tied to EU residents, no matter where they are located.

Privacy Shield Program Overview

EzR Communications Inc. is in the process of applying for and certifying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks were designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission and Swiss Administration, respectively, to provide companies on both sides of the Atlantic with a mechanism to comply with data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States in support of transatlantic commerce.

The Privacy Shield program, administered by the International Trade Administration (ITA) within the U.S. Department of Commerce, enables U.S.-based organizations to join one or both of the Privacy Shield Frameworks to benefit from the adequacy determinations. To join either Privacy Shield Framework, a U.S.-based organization will be required to self-certify to the Department of Commerce and publicly commit to comply with the Framework’s requirements. While joining the Privacy Shield is voluntary, once an eligible organization makes the public commitment to comply with the Framework’s requirements, the commitment will become enforceable under U.S. law.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

The CCPA is the first state-level comprehensive data protection law in the United States. It went into effect on January 1, 2020, and provides certain expanded rights to California consumers, including the right to obtain more detailed privacy disclosures and the right to opt-out whenever a company shares personal data in ways that are defined as a sale of data under the CCPA.

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

COPPA and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule apply to commercial websites and online services, including mobile applications (apps) and other connected devices, directed to children under the age of 13 or that have actual knowledge of collecting personal information from a child under 13.

The Privacy Act of 1974

As a United States company, EzR Communications is required to comply with the U.S. Federal Privacy Act of 1974, which governs the collection, use, and dissemination of personally identifiable information (PII). An individual's PII may not be distributed in any form to any other person or agency without the expressed written consent of the individual. Failure to comply with the Privacy Act could result in lawsuits, damaged reputations, and various civil and criminal penalties that can impact both EzR Communications Incorporated and its customers or clients.
